In the summer of 2017, I embarked on a trip that would change my life - and we called it From the Open Road. We bought a truck, turned it into a drivable camper, and drove across the North American Continent. We drove by day and slept in the trunk by night, seeing the most amazing sights, eating the most amazing food, and drinking some great beer with new friends and old friends. If you want to see pics from our trip, check instagram for #ftor2017 and #wethewild. However, I got bit with the travel bug and knew this roadtrip wouldn't be our last. In 2018, we took a second trip through the southern part of the country, and saw some of the most amazing things!

January: After leaving White Sands, we attempted to go see the four corners monument, but arrived after it had closed (oops), so we continued on to our next location - Antelope Canyon! While this canyon was amazing and had the coolest photo ops, my favorite part is that a little girl found the canyon after she had lost one of her sheep!

February: After Antelope Canyon, we took just a short trip to the real canyon - the Grand canyon. This was such a sight to see, and pictures don't do it justice.

March: Leaving the Grand canyon, we headed back north up through horseshoe bend for yet another photo op that just does not do the real site justice. It was such a cool creation of nature!

April: Then we headed north to Zion National Park. While this park was one of the coolest I had seen (and my first in Utah?), what happened while we were there was life changing. Just ahead of us on the trail we were walking, there was a rock slide and many injuries that occurred. It definitely made me think differently about hiking and appreciating life.

May: Lastly, we headed all the way west to see some family in Southern California, and dip our toes into the (very cold) Pacific Ocean, before spending some time in the City of Angels.
